In this module, you will do the following:

  3. listen to 4 texts (1, 2, 3, 4) about Christmas and do comprehension activities
  4. do a listening comprehension quiz
  5. write about Christmas in your country

module 2 – food (Dec 12 – Dec 18)

In this module, you will do the following:

  5. writing about a recipe from your country

  9. make a googles doc presentation about recipes from your countries (group work)

module 1 – people and places (Dec 5 – Dec 11)

In this module, you will do the following:

  1. read about India (text)  and do comprehension activities (1, 2);
  2. do a reading comprehension quiz;
  3. listen to 4 texts about India (1, 2, 3, 4) and do comprehension activities;
  4. do a listening comprehension quiz;
  5. write a essay (100-150 words) about your hometown;
  6. post at least 7 tweets on twitter;

module 0: orientation (Nov 27-Dec 4)

Welcome to web2english, module 0 – orientation. In this module, you will do the following:

  1. open a google email account (if you don’t have one) and send an email to your teacher. [tutorial]
  2. open a shared presentation on google.docs and add a page.
  3. open a twitter account and start twittering. [tutorial]
  4. open a blog on www.blogger.com and make a simple post. [tutorial]
  5. open an account for your podcasts at mypodcasts.com and make a simple podcast. [tutorial]
  6. open an xtranormal account and make a simple movie. [sample – course introduction]
  7. open a student account on edmodo and post your gmail, twitter, blog, podcast and xtranormal information. 
  8. do a practice quiz on ClassMarker.
